About Us
The Department of Statistics, University of Madras was established in 1941. The Department has been identified by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under its FIST program for the financial support.

The department offers research programme leading to Ph.D., in Statistics and two Post Graduate courses. The faculty members of the department both past and present have academic collaborative contacts with several institutions of national and international eminence.
